Biotech startups are about solving science problems.  The next step is commercialization and market entry, which requires an understanding of process, customers, partners, and selling your technology to the world.  Join us and engage in an open discussion of these challenges and more with a global expert on technology commercialization.  We can get into the weeds and discuss SBIRs, STTRs, BAAs, sponsored research, university tech transfer programs, and all the other stuff associated with money and getting into the marketplace  Come for the discussion, stay to hear everyone else’s stories and learn from them.

The Reading List – “The Art and Science of Technology Transfer” – Dr. Phyllis L. Speser of Foresight Science & Technology

We are currently reading “The Art and Science of Technology Transfer” by Phyllis L. Speser.  Dr. Speser is the founder of Foresight Science & Technology, one of the key organization in the evaluation of technologies.

We are working with Foresight and highly recommend Dr. Speser’s book.

Technology Assessment – Web Bots

The Neutrino Donut, LLC recently completed a commercialization assessment relating to web bot technologies.  We reviewed technology collaboration opportunities as they related to bot usage, bot blocking, and malicious use of bots.  The technologies – used for benign(?) marketing efforts have been re-purposed for more nefarious uses.  The Donut became aware of more LinkedIn requests while researching this project, as companies targeted for research used their own products on their own web sites.

Marketing Project – Patent Opportunities

The Neutino Donut, LLC recently completed a project in the evaluation of current patents.  We were seeking partners who had cited the patent or had their patents cited in their ongoing efforts.  To this end, we identified key players at multiple organizations and contacted them regarding collaboration opportunities.
